Jeff Jordan

Jeff Jordan has been selected for induction into the Garland Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments as head football coach for Garland High School over seven seasons. Jordan’s tenure at Garland High School as coach is the fourth longest of any previous coach. His record as head coach is 51 wins, 21 losses ... a 71% winning record. His district record of 32 wins and eight losses is an 80% winning record, ranking fifth in Garland High School history. Jordan’s team advanced to the regional finals in 2005 and state semi-finals in 2006.

Henry Luman

Henry Luman has been selected for induction into the Garland Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments as the starting tight end on offense, and as the starting defensive end, both his junior and senior years, for the Garland High School Football team’s back to back state championship seasons: 1963 and 1964. After being named all-district his junior year on defense; in his senior year, Luman was selected as all-district and All Greater Dallas by sportswriters for his outstanding play for the 1964 state champion Owls. During his senior year Luman had 25 receptions for 312 yards.

Johnny McCoy

Johnny McCoy has been selected for induction into the Garland Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments by earning four letters in track and three each in football and basketball for Garland High School. During the 1976 football season McCoy received all-district honorable mention as a wide receiver. After two years of play at Ranger Junior College, he transferred to Rice University where he earned two letters. As a junior he played primarily as a kickoff returner, and as a senior he played wide receiver and kick returner. At Garland High, McCoy was even more outstanding in track.

Randy Wisener

Randy Wisener has been selected for induction into the Garland Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments as captain of the golf teams for Garland High School during his junior and senior years. The Owls defeated a strong Highland Park team in the district tournament and qualified for the regional tournament, in which Wisener finished individually as the 3rd medalist. The same summer he was chosen for the junior golf team of the Northern Texas P-G-A which defeated the Southern Texas P-G-A at Pecan Valley in San Antonio.
